It does not matter if you’re a SMB Social Guru or just starting out on Facebook for the first time – it is worth pursuing some of these great resources and tips below and take full advantage of this weekend and the the coming weeks too.

We discovered several sites that can help with many aspects of preparing your business for business – both online and off. Let’s take a look:

Small Business Saturday Check List Resources:

First, we’ve already talked about Small Business Saturday and this great opportunity to leverage the national campaign by American Express supporting local independent business. Rebekah Henson and AWeber Communications have a terrific small business action plan that you can download here.

Other good ideas from Rebekah include encouraging reviews on sites like Yelp and using an ipad such as On Spot Social for easy email list building from your higher foot traffic.

Up next, Mike Merrill and Reach Local provide some additional small business tips for Saturday including how to share your special deals with American Express to be included in their major “deal guide” that they will be publishing. Mike also talks about how to incorporate video to make an even bigger impact on the day.

Finally, Kathryn (Katie) Siegel offers 9 great general tips for small business to compete with the big guys in her post on the Live Help Now Blog.  In addition to taking advantage of Shop Small Saturday she offers interesting tips like extended return periods and bundling products in a way the bigger retailers simply cannot do.  Katie also offers some mobile marketing and web tips for the SMB holiday rush too.

We hope these prove useful and invite you to share other tips with us here too. We wish  you and your business  the best of luck this coming weekend and shoppi9ng season.

Happy Thanksgiving!
