Great storytelling ideas are important because they feed our social marketing. As Small Business owners we get to share stories that let our customers connect with us, about what we do and why we do it. Why? Two reasons: Stories are what make us interesting and (even more importantly) they have the power to connect our community.
Small Businesses have inherently interesting stories – it’s in our DNA – this is the backbone of attraction marketing. We love stories and we share the good ones – give your fans something to share.
Our businesses exist because we offer services and products that folks in our community can use, right? People generally buy our stuff to solve a problem or enhance their lives; that’s our business. In the process of building and running your business, you’ve gained experience and knowledge that other people would like to know. So it’s a no-brainer that sharing great stories will allow prospects and customers to find ways to relate to your business. You can answer questions, share anecdotes, feature staff and customer stories – there is always something good to talk about.
