5 Best Books on Book Marketing with Amazon
At Author Jumpstart, we sell a lot of books for our clients.
One of the reasons is because we’ve read a lot of books on how to do it.
So, If you’re looking to Do It Yourself and wondering what to read to do it, you’ve come to the right place; Here’s my Top 5 Picks on Book Marketing with Amazon Ads and more.

First up is Self Publishing with Amazon Ads by Bryan Cohen.
Bryan’s kind of an Amazon Ads legend. He’s a natural with the data and he has proven methods that work, We’ve learned a lot from him.
The upside on this book; his approach is a winning and proven strategy.
Downside – it’s a bit complicated and a lot of work.
If you’re not comfortable with handling and analyzing data this may not be a fit.
If you’re short on time to plan, deploy and manage your ads, then again, this title may not be a fit.
And if both of these apply to you, then this book is definitely not a fit!

Next is a fairly new title, Amazon Ads for Indie Authors from Janet Margot.
This is a true inside baseball book when it comes to Amazon Ads from a true insider. As an Amazon Product Manager, Janet actually helped create Amazon ads for books! We’ve learned some great tips from her ourselves and while this book can be helpful for beginners, it is more designed for advanced users.

Number 3 on our list is Before The Best Seller.
Alex Starthdee is a well known book marketing expert. He got his start helping authors like Michael Michalowicz and Alan Dib with their Amazon Ads and today his agency ShelfLife handles big and not so big authors alike. Before the Best Seller has a number of creative ideas and also offers practical tips include a time line on how to activate these marketing techniques
including some unique angles on Amazon ads.

Our forth recommendation is Amazon Ads Unleased
Often cited as a top title by many Amazon ads experts, Robert Ryan’s book gets into some of the nitty gritty details and nuanced techniques.
In fact, we trained our AI models on some of his ideas. If you’re just getting started, this book is not the best choice. If you’ve got some Amazon Ads experience under your belt and want to level up, this is a must read.

And finally we have Advertising for Books by Dale L Roberts.
Roberts book is well organized and accessible for the beginner, he has plenty of meat in this book for more advanced users too.
Out of the 5, if I were to pick just 1 for getting started with Amazon Ads, this might be it.

Of course, there’s another approach too and that is letting experts help you which is what we do at Social Jumpstart with our Author Jumpstart program.
