Ok – we’re all about small business.  But sometimes it is good to take a look at big business to see what is keeping them up at night and where their priorities fall and take a pulse of market trends and over 1700 CEO’s can’t be wrong about social media.

We’re not surprised to see Social Media is becoming a major priority.

A recent IBM survey of CEO’s on social media caught our attention as we were curious to see that the people in the mahogany paneled corner offices are taking notice of social in a big way.

In fact, the majority of these CEO’s said that social media will be the most important technology channel used by companies to engage with their customers within three to five years.

Wow. Talk about a game changer.

Some of the trends identified in the IBM survey included the decrease of call center and standard media advertising as social channels become more and more ingrained with everyday life.

These same findings apply to your business. We’re not saying get rid of your phone. Far from it. What we do want to highlight is that more and more – people find your business through social channels – social networks and social media.
