Twitter New and Imrproved ProfileTwitter has taken a page out of the Facebook playbook with the look and feel of its new profile layout. At first glance this looks like a great way to make your small business Facebook Profile consistent with your Twitter look and feel.

However, there’s a pretty significant difference in the actual layout that you will want to consider before simply copying what you have on your organization’s Facebook page.

Both profiles use a larger “landscape” background image and then a secondary photo insert that, for a personal profile, is typically one’s head-shot. With Facebook,  this secondary photo is on the lower left; however, Twitter places this insert photo front and center. That’s fine but it may look significantly different than what your Facebook profile looks like due to this placement. So be aware of this issue and choose carefully.

While many have already changed their own Twitter Profile, as of this writing – we’re holding off on making the switch @Social Jumpstart until we find the right look and image. But, we’re pleased to have this new feature which will allow more consistency of our, and your, Twitter and Facebook presence.

If you’re ready to make the switch it is easy. If you are still wondering what Twitter is all about that’s understandable too as the whole social media marketing world can be a bit confusing and even intimidating. But that’s what we’re here for – to help you get started and grow your business!
